The museum's fourth annual photo competition hosted in partnership with the Georgia State University Graphic Design Club. Entries will be accepted February 2 - February 25. Welcome spring at the museum and learn about cabooses and the crews that called them home. Our caboose days event is a lot of fun for everyone and activities are included with your museum admission. The Second Thursday of each month is our Pre-School Program at the Southeastern Railway Museum. This is an interactive educational program that allows the parent and child to participate together in activities related to the “Vehicle of the Month”. Each month our program has a new vehicle that we focus on. The museum is pleased to host the Duluth Historical Society's 2017 Plant Sale from 10am - 4pm. Plants to include azaleas, shrubs, trees, roses. Pass-a-long plants will also be available. The museum’s 2017 Fast Track 5k is scheduled for a 8:00am start on Saturday, May 27. Activities (warmup, sign in) will all start around 7 ... awards and post-race action will conclude around 10am. This year’s event is a patriotic themed event as part of Duluth’s Memorial Day celebration and the race and awards will be followed by a patriotic program recognizing our veterans and service members.
