May 1 – 2 Southern 6901 Weekend

Southern Rwy E-8A 6901 returns to public viewing Saturday, May 2. Our volunteers put over 1,000 hours into the project, partially funded by Norfolk Southern, the Pace Family Foundation, and our Fast Track to the Future Fund.
We’re hosting Landmark Series SD70IACS “Atlanta” from Norfolk Southern, fresh off their executive train side-by-side with 6901 on Saturday and Sunday.
Plus we’re offering unlimited rides all weekend, and Cassie’s Catering.
And – we’re having a small art fair featuring famed RR artist Robert West, and Duluth Fine Arts League artists Kay Montgomery, Beth Hollstein, Brenda Ehly, Anita Stewart, April Woodard, and David Gentry, all live and in person, all with original works on offer.
Join us, 3595 Buford Hwy in Duluth, to celebrate 6901’s 75th anniversary, the work of our volunteers, a little bit of history, and art either on canvas, board, or a locomotive.
See you soon! Oh, bring a good camera. 6901 is stunning.
