‘Mack’ arrives at the Southeastern Railway Museum in advance of Steam Weekends

A crew this morning unloaded a guest steam locomotive.

Jeddo Coal No. 85, named “Mack,” will pull trains this weekend and next.

“An important part of our mission is to educate newer generations about what a steam locomotive is — not only as a static interpretive piece but as a living, breathing, operational artifact,” said Andrew Durden, the museum’s operations manager.

John and Barney Gramling of Ashley, Indiana, own the steamer and take it to museums and events nationwide.
