SUMMARY:2018 Model Railroad Days
DESCRIPTION:The Southeastern Railway Museum will host the North Georgia Modurail Club’s visiting model railroad layout from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Nov. 3-4. The special layout is included in regular museum admission. \nThe Southeastern Railway Museum’s own layout has made significant progress and has many new\, exciting features. The layout will be running next to the visiting layout in the Exhibit Hall. \nIn addition to North Georgia Modurail exhibit\, there will be “cash” tables selling new and used railroad models\, landscaping\, structures\, track\, artwork\, books\, etc. Items will be priced to sell. \nTrain rides will be available on the historic (standard-gauge) train and the miniature “park” train. \nCost: $10 adults\, $8 seniors 65+\, $7 children 2-12\, under 2 free. Train rides $3 per person.

DESCRIPTION:Santa’s been called – he’ll be arriving at the Southeastern Railway Museum on Saturday\, November 17 at 1:00 PM! \nDetails\nSanta will be welcomed again this year by the Jingle Bell Dancers from Miss Cindy’s Dance Studio.  \nThere will be refreshments (cookies and cocoa)\, lunch\, entertainment\, letter writing to Santa\, and an opportunity to take pictures with Santa in a historic setting for your Christmas cards.  Refreshments and entertainment start at 11:00 am. Santa will arrive at 1:00 pm. Please be aware that the admissions gatehouse is very busy right before Santa’s arrival\, so we suggest arriving early to enjoy the museum! \nCookies\, cocoa\, and lunch are sponsored by The Local Pantry in Duluth. \nView photos from last year’s event on our Facebook here! \nDuluth Festival of Trees\nThe Duluth Festival of Trees also opens at the museum on November 17! \n
