Repeat Champion in Fourth Annual Fast Track 5K

DULUTH, Ga. — Colin Maurer averaged a 5:48 mile to repeat as champion for the Fourth Annual Fast Track 5K.

The 21-year-old Kennesaw State University student posted a time of 18:02, topping the 18:06 time he put up during last year’s race, which he also won.

Hundreds turned out for the running of the Fast Track 5K in Downtown Duluth. The annual benefits programming and restoration efforts at the Southeastern Railway Museum, Georgia’s Official Transportation History Museum.

Eric Heintz, 37, the cross country coach at the Marist School ran an 18:07, good for second place. John Henry, 57, notched an 18:53 time to round out the top three.

Caroline Harris, 14, claimed the overall female title with a 23:37 time, good for 11th overall. Grace Greenwood, 27, posted a time 23:49 for second place on the female side and 16th overall, while Anne Hall, 53, ran a 25:16 to round out the top three and 22nd overall.

  • 50-54: Anne Hall (female), Anthony Bainbridge (male)
