2016 dates were…

  • June 20-24
  • July 18-22

Discover the excitement of railroading at the 2016 Southeastern Railway Museum summer Camp! This year’s theme is “Railroads Around the World”. Your child will learn how exciting railroading can be while participating in various reenacted railroad adventures, while exploring over 50 historic trains. Each day he will learn about railroading on a different continent, make a railroad craft, and do related railroad activities. We’ll even ride in a real caboose!

If your child attended our 2015 camp (Railroads Across America), this year’s theme is the perfect continuation to build on last year’s experience. If you are new to our camp, this is a great introduction to learning about different railroads and trains around the globe. Participants will learn map skills, geography and team work. New to camp this year is the opportunity to learn model railroading skills and participate in building a model railroad.

Summer camp will be from 9am – 1pm and is limited to children ages 4-12.

Each day the child will rotate with their group through each of these stations:

  • Crafts
  • Activities
  • Learning time
  • Music
  • Snack
  • Story Time
  • Building age appropriate models as a group

Daily Themes:

  • Monday: Shanghai Maglev – Asia
  • Tuesday: TGV – Europe
  • Wednesday: Trans Canadian – North America
